Cover ImageOne of my favorite children’s authors is Cynthia Rylant. I was introduced to her books when my son came home from school with one of the “Henry & Mudge” books. Right from the beginning I was hooked on her books and couldn’t wait to read another to my son. My daughters then continued the love of her books and to this day, we pull them out and read them over and over again.

She has written a number of children’s books among them “Dog Heaven”, “When I Was Young In The Mountains”, “Night In The Country”, “The Mr. Putter & Tabby Series”, “High-Rise Private Eyes Series”, “Cobble-Street Cousins Series”, “Lighthouse Family Series”, “Let’s Go Home”, and our favorite for the Christmas Holiday - “Christmas In The Country”. There are many more and too numerous to mention, but all her books are written in a down-home country kind of way and just make you feel really good inside. Check out her books here - Cynthia Rylant or go to your local library and look her up. You won’t be disappointed.

Personalized kid’s books are a great way to get your children interested in reading. When a child sees and hears his/her own name in a story, they get very excited and tend to be much more interested in what’s being read. Plus they will learn to read and write their name quicker by seeing it on every page.
