Going Green - The Meaning Behind All Those Eco-Friendly Labels

We’ve all heard the buzz - Eco-Friendly, Environmentally Safe, Organic. There’s alot of hype today to beĀ ’environmentally conscious’ to protect our world and the world of the future and to make certain our families are not exposed to dangerous substances. But what if you’re not sure what it is that you should be looking out for? I am hoping that this guide will enlighten you to the meanings of all those labels and make things a little more clear.
Eco-Friendly - are products made with minimal or no effects on the environment.
Organic - goods and products grown and produced without chemicals or preservatives in a natural environment. These products are biodegradable and do not contain harmul pollutants. Look for th ‘USDA Organic Seal’.
Sustainable - using products to meet current needs without jeopardizing futureĀ generations and which will renew themselves indefinitely.
