Happy Monday!

Well, another weekend come and gone. With each passing day, Christmas gets closer and closer. I love this time of year, though. I miss the warm days of summer, but there is a magic in the air now that brings a certain twinkle to the eyes.

It snowed here in Carolina on Friday, last week, and the look on the kid’s faces was enough to send your heart afflutter. It’s nothing compared to the snow from where we come from, but it’s enough to make the kids smile.

Soon we will be doing our Christmas decorating - we actually put up the outside lights this weekend. We don’t turn them on till after Thanksgiving though. With all the rush in the stores to push Christmas as early as September, we feel that turning them on before Thanksgiving, is just not right. Maybe it’s just that I’m from a whole different generation and need to savor the pureness of the season.

But, Christmas sure is coming and whatever you do to get ready, make sure you slow down and really enjoy the time together. This is a great time of year. Enjoy your Thanksgiving and be sure to say thank you for all life’s blessings!
